With a rendezvous planned for 1pm, everyone walked into town and went to the market with cooking team Ann and Geoff. They decided on calamari but, understandably, Ann got angsty about the many suggestions and helpers hanging around. Nikki and I ended up backing right off.
Had a quick coffee together before heading back to camp in glorious sunshine. We made the long climb up the steep road past an honour guard of canines throwing themselves against barred fences as we passed.
Fell asleep in the sun before tucking into scrumptious sardine sandwiches for lunch.
No good news about truck paperwork from 1pm meeting. Afternoon Scrabble with Ann.
Delicious dinner of deep-fried calamari with home-made tartare sauce and stir-fried veggies (chicken for the non-calamarists). Cut my finger helping prepare and the blood made me queasy got queasy with the blood (it hurt all night).
Relaxed around campfire coals till late, playing word games with two Danish guys planning to bike through the Sahara.
